Summary
My Tier 1 Main Contractor client is seeking an experienced Design Manager / Senior Design Manager to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in overseeing a series of exciting education/school projects in London. With multiple opportunities available, we welcome applications from individuals with varying levels of experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead the design management process from tender through to project completion.
- Coordinate and manage design teams, ensuring timely delivery of design packages.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Identify and mitigate design risks, providing solutions to design-related issues.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all project participants.
- Prepare and present design reports, progress updates, and documentation.
- Proven experience in design management within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from tender to completion.
- Strong understanding of design processes, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
- Education sector experience is highly desired; however, candidates with all-rounder experience will also be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
