Summary

Creative Support is looking for a warm, reliable and proactive Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated staff team in Bury, Manchester. At our vibrant service we provide quality care to nine service users with mental health support needs. Our service users enjoy gardening, movie nights, going out for walks, cooking, and many more! This role is excellent for someone new to care and looking to kick-start their career in a fun service with a collaborative, friendly staff team.
Support Worker Duties:
• Be willing to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, including weekends, evenings and daytimes
• To support service users in managing self-medication programmes
• To maintain a warm and responsive approach to service users and their families
• To support service users in budgeting and managing their finances and to ensure that they are able to maximise their income by liaising with Welfare Rights agencies.
• To promote the service user’s self-esteem and enable them to express their preferences and make choices and decisions.
No personal care, nights or sleeps are included in this role.
We are looking for candidates from all walks of life. No previous care experience is needed, just a passion for providing person-centred care and support and working in a bright, friendly environment! Full training is provided by our Creative Support Training Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
