We have exciting opportunities for Senior Digital Project Managers to join us at DWP Digital, you will join a flourishing, supportive delivery community delivering some of the largest digital transformations in Europe.

Our Specialist Devices Team within Digital Workspaces oversees macOS and physical/virtual environments for 3,000 Engineering users and 8,500 customer computers.

As Senior Digital Project Manager, you'll take on the challenge of leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale complex digital changes.

We'll look to you to ensure project controls are in place - you'll be managing plans, risks, issues, and dependencies. As well as people.

You use your skills in varied stakeholder environments, set the pace for delivery, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to get the best outcomes.

You'll take ownership of full projects. Sometimes you'll be working on something really big where you'll own smaller parts of large-scale programmes and plans.

You will manage team dynamics, coach teams for improved flow, quality, and ownership, and foster a positive team culture.

In this role you will lead the team on the following portfolio:

  • Improvements to the Engineering Platform supporting 3,000 users developing solutions for DWP.
  • Solutions to separate access between production and non-production environments for specific users.
  • Assessment and delivery of a new solution for the 8,500 Customer Computers, based nationwide in all Jobcentres.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • You have experience in taking full responsibility for defining, documenting, and completing large-scale complex projects, using internal and external suppliers.
  • You know how to ensure effective project control, change control, risk management, and testing processes, responding appropriately to data insights.
  • You understand the environment and can prioritise high-value tasks, using data for planning and managing complex dependencies.
  • You communicate clearly, honestly, and enthusiastically to build trust, explaining complex issues in an understandable way to influence senior level decisions.
  • You identify appropriate development opportunities for yourself and your team to improve delivery.

In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay from £52,412 to £63,517.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%.

You'll get a generous leave package starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days, plus all the usual bank holidays, and the option to take extra days off on flexi leave.
