This role centers around a pupil referral unit specialising in Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) for students spanning from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4. Here, stability, education, and empowerment are paramount, tailored to each learner's unique learning style to ensure comprehensive social, emotional, and educational integration.

Job Description:
- Operating within established professional ethics and school policies when engaging with pupils.
- Providing positive support and utilizing restraint training in managing escalating behaviors.
- Assisting students in crisis management and helping them navigate consequences.
- Facilitating integration within class/group settings.
- Cultivating strong professional relationships with fellow staff members.
- Empowering students and promoting positive regulation of social and emotional skills.
- Supporting students' focus in class, ensuring task completion.
- Building trusting relationships and offering appropriate support as needed.
- Maintaining behavioral records and reporting as required.

Job Specification:
- A minimum of 6 months' solid experience in pupil referral units, alternative provision, or similar settings.
- A Level Two or higher Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to work.
- Flexibility with temporary work patterns.
- Desirable Team Teach training, with training opportunities provided.
- Competitive daily rate: £90-£100.
- Enhanced DBS subscribed to the update service or willingness to apply.
