This is an opportunity to join a manufacturing business UK based, in the Medical Device Industry, which is part of the Lohmann & Rauscher Group. The UK entity operates independently to the rest of its group yet in close collaboration for many topics. It is an R&D centric business, with a global outlook and varied customer base. The key purpose of the role is to deliver a proactive and flexible EA service to the MD and to support the HR function with certain administrative duties. It is a role that requires a high level of English proficiency both verbal and written, and fluency in German would be an advantage. Degree educated; you will have a real desire to self-manage with minimum supervision. You will be the MD's voice on many topics and as such require a high level of confidence and the ability to deliver your tasks interacting at the highest level of the organisation. Your attention to detail and interpersonal skills must be excellent.

Executive Assistant - duties to include:

- Management of direct mail and email boxes, reviewing, organising, prioritising and responding to emails.

- Chasing monthly reports on time from directors and managers where necessary.

- Scheduling meetings, preparing meeting rooms, ensuring that the overall diary is efficient.

- Anticipating the MD's needs based on diary commitments and preparation material ahead of meetings.

- Planning attendance at exhibition and travelling arrangements.

- Preparing presentations, organising content, liaising with design partners to make sure that presentations are always of a high standard.

- Managing of some documentation and reports.

- HR duties reporting into the head of HR including:

- Entering employment data into the HR database

- Support in organising employee engagement activities.

- Organising meetings and taking minutes

- Support with organising recruitment and training events

- Support in creating staff handbooks, presentations and various documentation

- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations

- Filling

- Support with top level IT objectives.

- To liaise with members of the Board, organise the Board meetings and prepare the Board papers

- Minute taking

- Management of company credit card expenditure and personal expenses for MD.

- Assisting MD on projects directly managed by the MD, these can be operational or commercial in nature.

Executive Assistant - Key skills / abilities:

* Bachelor's degree educated preferable.
* At least 5 years previous PA/EA experience covering HR duties is essential.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. German fluency would be an advantage.
* Must adhere to high level of discretion and confidentiality. Be flexible. Strong work ethic, honesty and integrity. Out of hours work will be required from time to time and so you must be able to support flexible hours.
* Someone who exhibits sound judgment with the ability to prioritize and make decisions
* Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
* Comfortable interacting with high-level executives
* A team player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the business
* Resourceful, can-do attitude
* Thrives in a fast-paced environment
* Self-starter able to work autonomously.
* A highly organised, methodical approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy
* Excellent time management skills
* Good organisation and planning skills with the ability to be proactive.
* Effective communicator, used to working in a team and the ability to be resilient* Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and PDF software
