The role:

In this role, you would be responsible for providing support to the Estate and Facilities manager and the Facilities team.

To assist and support the Estates & Facilities Manager in providing day to day operational management for all services/
Ensuring that all Springcare Care premises, new and current, and their environments, are maintained to an acceptable standard.
Ensuring the health and safety of all who use the buildings, plant, equipment and facilities are safe to do so.
As a designated competent person, the job holder will support the management of health and safety policies and practices across the Group.
Deputising for the Estates & Facilities Manager in their absence
This role is based from Whitchurch, Shropshire, and is full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

To support the Estates & Facilities Manager in the day to day running of Group properties.
To assist with the recording & updating of the planning and implementation of a Planned
Preventative Maintenance programme for all buildings, plant and equipment
and identified clinical equipment.
To assist with the recording/testing and maintenance of all safety and other security
and nursing systems in accordance with current legislation and Group policies.
To undertake duties relating to security, general maintenance and upkeep of the
grounds, buildings & plant.
To assist the Estates & Facilities Manager in the ordering, procurement of all supplies and
equipment relevant to the facilities and domestic activities.
Plan the undertaking of any occasional scheduled minor works projects.
To assist in the supervision of any work undertaken by in-house maintenance teams & contractors as agreed with the Estates & Facilities Manager.
Assist the Estates & Facilities Manager in undertaking regular site and service inspection tours
and identifying areas for improvement.
To be responsible for the planning and implementation of a rolling redecoration
programme.
To support the Estates & Facilities Manager in the maintenance of inventories of all equipment’s
and premises and ensure testing and maintenance of all safety and other security
systems in accordance with current legislation and Group policies.
To help deliver Health and safety /fire training as required for mandatory and
statutory purposes.
To assist and record the fire and health and safety risk assessments on a rolling
programme supporting the Estates & Facilities Manager with audits or sport check visit as
requested.
Who are we looking for:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with excellent organisational skills. You would have relevant facilities management experience preferably gained within a health & social care environment.

Ideally you would have a Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH and be a member or working towards membership of the IWFM. (Institute of Workplace Facilities Management)
