Summary

As a Registered Manager you will lead in supporting a residential staff team, taking overall responsibility for the day to day management of a 6 bed residential home for young people with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. Your duties will include; Monitoring and maintaining the effective running of the home whilst collaborating closely with the Clinical Team ensuring effective and robust relationships are built and maintained. Taking a lead Safeguarding role within the service to ensure the safeguarding databases and records are maintained accurately and as per company policy. Maintaining registration with the CQC and be legally responsible for ensuring the home complies with CQC requirements, the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) and associated legislations. To take the lead with inspections of the service. Overseeing and empowering the staff to effectively support the young people, ensuring their physical, social, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs are met. Empowering the staff team to manage incidents effectively and safely, offering guidance and debriefs post incident. Ensuring the staff team are liaising effectively with the relevant GPs, CCG, Community Mental Health Services, CIM clinical team with regards to the welfare of the individual young person. Ensuring that all the medication needs of the young people are met, Medication Management Plans are completed accurately, are understood by all staff, and adhered to. Ensure effective recruitment of suitable and skilled employees to work within the team. At our home in Ramsbottom, you will be working with young people who have a variety of mental health diagnosis including personality disorder, those who struggle to build relationships and those who use self-harm as a strategy to cope with their emotions. You will be required to be patient and resilient as the support you will be providing to our young people will include supporting them to build relationships, trust and managing incidents of self-harm. Most of our young people are at the beginning of their journey of integrating into the community, therefore you will be supporting them to build their confidence in the community and doing meaningful activities with them. Other areas of support will be supporting them administer medication, getting back into education, accessing public transport and appointments independently. Our young people enjoy trying new things and engage in a variety of activities including going to theme parks, cinema, bowling, visiting farms and retail therapy! The home is a 6-bed service and is located a short walk away from the local village of Ramsbottom with scenic local walks. It is also a short drive or bus journey away from the town of Bury, so is close enough to numerous local amenities. The house is a detached, large property which is well maintained and homely, making it a lovely environment to work in. There is a beautiful garden to the home, making it a perfect place for growing veg, barbeques in the summer and playing outdoor games. Stubble Bank promotes staff to Bring a Hobby to work, with things such as knitting, gardening, arts & crafts. You will work over a 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday whilst supporting an On Call rota alongside other Registered Managers.
