Salary: Band 7, £29,777 - £33,945 per annum

Location: Based in Southampton, with travel across the Solent area.

The Service:

Solent Careers Hub leads a partnership of schools, colleges, local enterprise partnerships, local authorities, local businesses, and careers providers, deploying innovative approaches to transform the careers provision and act as a catalyst, connecting employers with schools and colleges throughout the Solent to deliver a locally tailored careers education programme.

Your New Role:

You will focus the efforts of the Solent Career Hub on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes for young people. You will build and maintain relationships with Southampton schools and colleges, recruit and support a team of Enterprise Advisers (EAs), organise and attend regular EA and Careers Leaders meetings, target key wards to improve employer engagement in areas of severe deprivation and raise aspirations of young people, and deliver careers-based workshops.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will have experience of engaging and building relationships with leaders from schools, colleges and businesses, and of supporting the delivery of programmes or projects with multiple stakeholders. You have a track record of stakeholder engagement, and an understanding of school culture and relevant local and national policy relating to skills and economic development. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong collaborative working and relationship building skills, and can work independently, prioritising a busy workload. You think strategically, and are adaptable, tenacious, determined, positive and resilient. You are a competent user of digital and IT and social media platforms. You have a full driving licence or can use public transport or other means to travel across the Solent area and nationally when required.
