We are currently seeking an experienced registered nurse or clinical trials practitioner for a team lead position.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the rapidly moving field of cancer research whilst developing leadership skills in the Hepatobillary/ Aero digestive and Head and Neck portfolios.

You will have the opportunity to work with world class medics in current cutting edge cancer therapy development.

Your role will include:

Leading a team of nurses and practitioners.

Supporting the team to effectively and efficiently recruit patients onto cancer clinical trials

Liaising closely with the SRL to manage the portfolio of trials coming into the team

Ensure the smooth set up and opening of trials within the team

Approaching, screening and recruiting patients for dynamic trials/studies.

Coordinating and facilitating patients on their journey through trials. Including liaising and networking with consultants, hospital research facilities and external agencies/companies regarding the effects of the trial/trial medications.



The Clinical Research Nurse/ Practitioner / Team Lead will be a member of the Cambridge Cancer Trials Team. The post-holder will work closely with the health care teams associated with the multidisciplinary team.

The key responsibilities of this post are the leadership of a team of nurses, practitioners and data managers, supporting them to deliver cancer clinical trials to eligible patients. Working closely with the speciality research leads to identify suitable trials for the portfolio and having a good understanding of the capacity of the team for entry of new trials. To also be proactively part of the wider CCTC management team supporting other team leads and being involved in projects across the department.
