Summary
The Royal School is looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic School Staff Instructor (SSI) to support the development and activities of our Combined Cadet Force. We are a dual-service unit with both CCF (Army) and CCF
(RAF) Sections. The chosen candidate would work closely with the Contingent Commander and Head of Section to develop and implement an ambitious training programme, including external events. Founded in 1942, although with a
history of cadets that goes far earlier than this, the Contingent has grown dramatically over the last 12 months, now numbering 190 Cadets and 20 Cadet Force Adult Volunteers. The Contingent possesses a large internal real estate
within the school, with our own training facility, 25m indoor range and armoury on site. The preferred candidate would have Regular or Reserve forces experience, ideally as a Senior NCO or Warrant Officer.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be from a military background in a Senior NCO or Warrant Officer position in regular, reserve or cadet forces. They will be a proactive team player and have the desire to support the development of pupils at The Royal School.
