Post title: CQI Facilitator

Band: 6, Full Time (37.5), hospital based

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Croydon Quality Improvement Team as a Quality Improvement Facilitator.

Reporting to the Associate Director, CQI this post is responsible for the delivery of the Trust’s CQI Strategy and vision to ensure ‘Excellent Care for all’ through the delivery of safe, effective and high quality services.
• Support the CQI programme through improvement activities and supporting staff to achieve sustainable improvements
• Work collaboratively with teams, utilising a range of improvement methodologies
• Deliver improvements through facilitation, engagement of stakeholders, analysis, planning and project management
• Support the CQI team in the design, planning and delivery of quality improvement projects across the Trust and ICN+ in order to deliver care in an efficient and cost effective manner. Projects may be a strategic change programme, a transformational change or a discrete improvement project in response to a service-specific requirement.
• Support by helping to define the project, facilitating and monitoring the progress of a portfolio of projects, analysing the progress of highly complex and multi stranded projects, and identifying solutions.
• Facilitate peer support workshops and co-ordinate a network of CQI champions within the Trust and ICN+ to enable improvement projects to maintain momentum
• Liaise with project leads and senior manager’s/team leaders to facilitate breaking down barriers to project progression
• Deliver specialist training in Quality Improvement methodology, tools and techniques to staff at all levels
• Plan and co-ordinate internal & externally led quality improvement training for members of staff in the Trust and ICN+

Croydon University Hospital is a large District General Hospital in South London with University status. England’s newest emergency department is open having completed a £21million re-build.
• To support the Croydon Quality Improvement (CQI) programme through undertaking a range of improvement activities and supporting staff to achieve sustainable improvements
• To work collaboratively with teams, utilising a range of improvement methodologies
• To deliver improvements through facilitation, engagement of stakeholders, analysis, planning and project management
• The Quality Improvement Facilitator will support the CQI team in the design, planning and delivery of quality improvement projects across the Trust and ICN+ in order to deliver care in an efficient and cost effective manner. Projects may be a strategic change programme, a transformational change or a discrete improvement project in response to a service-specific requirement.
• The post holder will support by helping to define the project, facilitating and monitoring the progress of a portfolio of projects, analysing the progress of highly complex and multi stranded projects, and identifying solutions.
• As part of the CQI team, the post holder will be expected to champion quality improvement through engaging with and motivating colleagues to generate and implement ideas to nurture a culture of quality improvement.
• Facilitate peer support workshops and co-ordinate a network of CQI champions within the Trust and ICN+ to enable improvement projects to maintain momentum
• Liase with project leads and senior manager’s/team leaders (project sponsors) to facilitate breaking down barriers to project progression
• Deliver specialist training in Quality Improvement methodology, tools and techniques to staff at all levels across the organisation
• Plan and co-ordinate internal & externally led quality improvement training for members of staff in the Trust and ICN+
