Job Purpose:
Haringey Council is seeking a dedicated Executive Assistant to support two Heads of Service and their teams. This role involves a blend of executive assistance and office management tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support:

Provide high-level administrative support to two Heads of Service.
Manage diaries and emails, ensuring efficient scheduling and communication.
Organize meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
Liaise with other departments to coordinate activities and facilitate communication.
Office Management:

Perform office management tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office environment.
Maintain office supplies, manage equipment, and coordinate with facilities for maintenance and repairs.
Assist in the onboarding of new staff and coordinate training sessions as required.
Communication and Liaison:

Serve as a point of contact between the Heads of Service and internal/external stakeholders.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
Organizational Tasks:

Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for the Heads of Service.
Manage and update filing systems, both electronic and physical.
Assist with project coordination and support as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role in a Local Authority environment.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desirable:

Experience working with Building Repairs and Building Safety teams.
Familiarity with office management responsibilities.
Work Arrangement:

Based in Haringey (Broadwater Farm, Tottenham) at least three days per week, preferably four.
