About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver a dynamic recruitment strategy based on sound evidence, business intelligence and best practice. The primary focus of the job is to develop, coordinate and deliver high quality student recruitment strategies and programmes of activity for schools and colleges which will promote the University brand and attract high quality students to the university.

The post holder will work in a range of targeted schools and colleges within the North West area, agreeing and delivering a bespoke programme of activities in order to increase applications from these institutions. The post holder will also support market extension activities across the UK.

Working as part of a team of Education Liaison Officers, supported by Education Liaison Assistants and alongside Student Recruitment Assistants and an Events team, the role will involve developing productive relationships with the widest range of individuals and organisations in order to successfully promote existing and emerging provision at the University as well as providing support across the wider Student Recruitment Team.

The postholder will be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and will also have the ability to effectively influence others to help in the fulfilment of strategic aims by leading, inspiring and developing effective informal teams and networks.

About You

As Education Liaison Officer you will have:

A Degree or equivalent professional qualification
Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of key stakeholders
Previous experience working with both pre and post 16 students in an educational setting
Previous experience developing educational activities and materials in order to deliver tailored information, advice and guidance
Experience of supervising staff
In depth knowledge of barriers relating to the progression of learners in Higher Education
An understanding of the impact of national policy context within which the University student recruitment and widening participation work operates
Approachable individual with ability to work in a team as well as individually
A forward thinking approach
