Maths Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive maths lessons tailored to the needs and interests of students, promoting numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, practical activities, and creative resources to make learning maths enjoyable and accessible for all students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore mathematical ideas, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential.
- Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
- Promote positive behaviour and social skills by modelling respect, cooperation, and responsibility, and implementing effective classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree and PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a UK secondary school setting is preferred, but not essential.
