Site Manager - South West Norse
Location:* Montgomery Primary School, Exeter, EX4 1BS
Salary:* £36,275.20 pro rata, equating to £17.44 per hour (40hr FTE)
Hours per week:* 35
Shift Pattern:* Monday - Friday: 7am-12pm, 2.30pm-4.30pm
South West Norse is a successful commercial service partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, delivering expertise across cleaning, catering and facilities management disciplines. We currently have a great opportunity for a Site Manager to lead our team at Montgomery Primary School on a part time basis.
The role
As a Site Manager to help oversee and drive the cleaning and maintenance services at Montgomery Primary School. Working alongside the Area Manager and our client partners, you will be responsible for implementing best practice and reviewing service delivery to ensure quality and health and safety standards are met.
You will be the main point of contact on-site for the operational team and any sub-contractors, responsible for managing the daily operations of all stakeholders and ensuring the team have the right training, equipment and materials will be essential for both periodic and ad-hoc requirements on site. It will be your responsibility to regularly monitor site maintenance and safety through risk assessment and implementing quality standards.
Your Experience
Whilst there will be support and training available in the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate some key knowledge, skills and experience for the role, including.

  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a cleaning / facilities management environment, with working knowledge of M&E systems

  • Proven experience in a previous facilities or site management role, demonstrating an ability to manage multi-disciplined and multi-site teams

  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders and deliver instructions or information clearly

  • Ability to define, implement and monitor best working practices which meet quality and safety standards

  • Good leadership skills, capable of identifying opportunities to develop individuals as well as managing performance
