Summary
To be responsible for the operational management and effective, efficient delivery of responsive and innovative, high-quality services provided within the General Surgery and Urology Clinical Business Unit (CBU). Supporting the Divisional Operations Manager (DOM) to ensure effective co-ordination and management of budgets and agreed national and local performance objectives and contracts. This role will be responsible for service delivery across Peterborough City Hospital, Stamford Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital sites and will be expected to routinely work across all locations.The post holder will work in partnership with the CBU triumvirate management team (DOM, Matron and Lead Nurses), the Clinical Leads, Business Development Manager (BDM), senior nursing teams and medical staff on business planning and the development and continuous improvement of patient care processes. The Service Manager will also work closely with colleagues within the corporate directorates (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Clinical and Corporate Governance) as necessary.
