Summary
Queen Elizabeth's School is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our fantastic Cover Team. Could this be you?
As one of the Cover team you will deliver lessons in the absence of the regular subject teachers and provide support in other areas throughout the school. In addition, this role requires you to act as a Class Tutor
Actual Salary £23,224 - £26,630 per annum (Grade 8)
This job is Full time , 37 Hours per week and Term time only
Part-time requests would be considered
It is offered on a Permanent basis
Approximate start date September 2024 or as soon as possible
We are looking for someone who is responsible and dependable and who can demonstrate the following skills:Excellent communication skills
Is resourceful and demonstrates initiative
Is flexible and adaptable
Has good time management
Is confident to work in a classroom environment, without supervision.
Has a real interest in supporting students’ learning.
Previous experience in a similar role or of working in a school environment would be an advantage but full training will be provided for this post.
This role would suit a recent graduate considering a future career in teaching. Other applicants will also be welcome.
Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has:
An enthusiasm for the role and educating young people
The necessary skills to manage the classroom environment in a confident, safe and effective way
Has the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Is willing to gain an understanding of the curriculum, expectations and teaching methods applied.Please Note: the actual salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee with under 5 years' service.
