The Head Teacher and Governors of Pentrebane Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and reflective teaching assistant to join us in providing the best for our children. This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant to work as part of a dedicated team in the mainstream area of our school. Although initially expected to be working with younger pupils (Nursery to Year 2), the suitable candidate must have the skills to work with any age Primary pupil and demonstrate flexibility.
Pentrebane is a small Primary school with approximately 200 pupils, including a Special Resource Base which supports children for whom communication and interaction is their primary need. The successful candidate will play an important part in the school’s improvement journey.
The successful candidate will be expected to support class teachers to promote high standards, contribute to planning, and help develop a stimulating learning environment. A full list of the roles and duties can be found in the job description.

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
