Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge? If so, we are looking for a dynamic, committed and self-motivated candidate who wants to make a difference to patient care by working in the highly specialist, interesting and challenging area of solid organ transplantation, at a world renowned transplant centre. You will work as part of a dedicated specialist team of Advanced Clinical and Rotational Pharmacists to optimise the pharmaceutical care of transplant patients.

You will need excellent organisational and communication skills to support a busy service and large complex patient cohort.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and comprehensivetechnical ward-based services to the transplant directorate, as well as undertaking medicines management duties in line with standard operating procedures for the technical team.

You will actively lead on medication counselling to new transplant recipients in an inpatient setting and outpatient education clinic, which will include the provision of written information, identifying and managing barriers to adherence and communicating any concerns clearly with the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

You will also assist with training support to the MDT to include nursing staff, doctors and support staff. There will be opportunities to be involved in transplant service development projects as well as contribute to and support the research agenda for the department and the specialist area.
