Primary school jobs in Bedford
Tick Education are currently seeking candidates to register with us and work either as a teaching assistant or cover teacher, to work in our primary schools jobs in Bedford.
As a cover teacher you would be delivering pre-planned lessons, in a teacher’s absence, in either primary or secondary schools, ensuring completion of work and the safeguarding of children throughout the day.
Working in primary schools, you would be working with children from reception age up to year 6. You would be working with one class (or multiple across the day if the school required).
If you have 3+ months working with children and have a child work force enhanced DBS (or are willing to get one) you would be eligible to work with us.
We encourage anybody with this experience who is looking to begin or further their career working in education, to get in touch today. We offer free training to our candidates to ensure you are up to date with safeguarding policies and legislation and to give you a basic grasp of the role of a supply teacher; helping to empower you with behavioural management skills and the fundamentals to work with children.
Working with us is a great way for student teachers or ECT teachers to build experience as well!
Requirements for primary school jobs in Bedford:-
• To have 3 months or more experience working with children. It would be desirable for this experience to be school / education based and to be from the UK – meaning you have exposure to the UK curriculum.
• To be able and happy to commute to schools in and around Bedford
• To have GCSE qualifications, especially maths and english

• To drive and have access to a car for work
• School or classroom based tutoring experience
• To have a teaching assistant qualification
• To understand the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
