What you’ll be doing

The Business Relationship function, sits within our Technology Department, acts as a vital conduit between our technology team and various business areas. As a Business Relationship Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships and ensuring new business requirements are efficiently captured and understood. You will support the Senior Business Relationship Manager and the Head of Technology Strategy by assisting with the oversight of transformation projects. Your role will involve understanding both the operational and developmental needs of the business and the Technology Department.

You’ll be a confident communicator and attentive listener with the ability to effectively visualise and articulate concepts, making disciplined recommendations and decisions based on available information. Ideally, you will have previous project experience and an understanding of Demand Shaping and Value Management.

A little more about the role

• To provide support for BRM engagements with directors, corporate senior leaders, service managers and external stakeholders, ensuring that the BRM Principles of Demand Shaping, Value Management and Resourcing are adhered to.
• Create a positive value management impact for business areas through the reduction of costs arising from service issues, increased efficiency, and improved effectiveness through a better understanding of users’ needs.
• To work alongside or as directed by Enterprise and Solution architects to provide analysis, gathering additional information or understand new technology trends.
• To become the pivotal focus for business colleagues, product, or project managers into the Technology Team.
• Providing substantiating data to stakeholders and colleagues.
• Help evaluate and analyse new Customer Product initiatives in line with Technology Strategic direction.
• To provide communication support on activities undertaken by the department.

• Excellent relationship management – able to identify, analyse, manage, and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders.
• Able to demonstrate logical thinking with the ability to gather and analyse information using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ability to identify and take ownership of issues and proactively resolve problems whilst maintaining relationships and ensuring BRM principles are met.
• A working understanding of Service and Customer Product lifecycle frameworks, principles, and processes.
• Must be comfortable working closely with, and presenting to, all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Ability to take ownership of objectives and achievements, individually, departmentally, and organisationally.
• An understanding of an Agile environment.
• Excellent understanding of MS Office and its applications (this may be required to be demonstrated at interview stage)
• The capacity to listen attentively and discern both spoken and unspoken messages.
• The skill to accurately gauge the atmosphere and dynamics in groups of any size.
• The ability to reflect on and critically evaluate one's own reasoning.
• The ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
• The capacity to respond appropriately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
