Summary
This is an unrivalled opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to permanently join one of the leading SME contractors in the southeast of England.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Duties: - Review and comment on the most recent programmes while offering precise estimates. - Assist in creating and monitoring project budgets while guaranteeing cost management throughout. - Compile, examine, and submit to the client on a regular basis application. - Consider and negotiate applications and agreements with suppliers. - Manage final accounting, values, and variances for the customer and suppliers. - Work together with project teams to offer cost guidance and feasibility evaluation. - Visit and inspect sites frequently to check on development and make sure requirements are being followed. - Prepare and submit financial statements, progress reports, and other paperwork. - Examining and managing opportunities and risks within the project. - Communication with the client and ongoing interactions with the business partner.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Criteria: - Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction industry over a period of 10 years. - Experience of working in the Rail sector, ideally in Refurbs and general Civils. - Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. - Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and legal requirements. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong IT skills and ability to use Microsoft packages with good report writing skills.
