Position: Chemical Plant Operator
Salary: £22,625 - per annum,
Hours: Full Time - 38 Hours per week
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Chemical Plant Operator based in Mitcham. The successful candidate will earn £22,625 per annum.
The role involves shift work so the successful candidate must be local to the plant. Please provide your postcode when applying to be considered for the position.
Role Requirements
• Candidate MUST be physically fit
• Previous experience in a similar chemical batch manufacturing environment would be advantageous
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction from others in a busy factory environment.
• Be flexible to work on a rota.
• Live within a commutable distance.

Role Responsibilities
• Housekeeping and cleaning of the factory is a major part of the role.
• Manual handling
• Transporting and supporting heavy loads.
• Maintaining housekeeping within the plant.
• Filling of finished goods
• Loading reactors and blending tanks
• Loading/unloading of tankers
• The Plant Operator is responsible to support the shift leader for the safe, efficient and effective operation of plant equipment and processes.
• The Plant Operator will perform a variety of activities, including reactor loading, thinning/blend tank loading, set up of equipment for various plant tasks, filling/ packaging of products, assisting the shift leader in loading/unloading of finished goods tankers and housekeeping.
