Summary

Job Description

The post is within the emergency out of hours social work service covering Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.

Qualified Social Worker who must hold a current Social Work Qualification and be registered with SSSC.

This post is for an experienced Child Protection worker who has completed the 5 day Child Protection course and preferably is also JIIT trained.

This is a generic service which means that you will work across all care groups not only Child & Families. The post holder will work on a rota basis for the service which covers from 4pm - 9am weekdays and 24 hours per day weekends, the service also covers all public holidays for the 6 local authorities. This roster is day, back and nightshifts.

This is an interesting and challenging role working in the largest Social work out of hours service in Scotland.

Applicants will hold a Social Worker (Degree / Diploma in Social Work or Social Work equivalent).

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with SSSC Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
