POST NUMBER ED50277061TEACHING ASSISTANTS TYPE OF CONTRACT PERMANENT SALARY Grade 3 + ALN Allowance START DATE As soon as possible HOURS OF WORK 15 hours per week (Term time only 39 weeks) 11am-2pm Due to growth and development of the school, Ty Gwyn School are looking to appoint a number of motivated and caring part-time Teaching Assistants with a passion for working with pupils with additional leaning need. Ty Gwyn supports pupils aged 3-19 with autism and /or profound and complex needs. The school is federated with Riverbank and Woodlands High School within the Western Learning Federation. We are proud that the school has a long history of working with other schools and partners including a role as a Pioneer and Innovation school for work on the new curriculum and professional learning. Ty Gwyn are seeking to appoint a number of part time (3 hours a day) nurturing and positive Teaching Assistants. We invite applications from people who are enthusiastic about developing pupils learning, communication, independence and wellbeing. Successful applicants would support classes at specific times of day so that: • The school can continue to develop the wide variety of experiences we offer to pupils. • We can support pupils more intensively in specific activities and / or times of day • We envisage that the majority of these roles will cover the times between 11am – 2pm however there may be some flexibility in these timings. This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April.
