Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated clinical psychologist to be an integral member of our dynamic Community Neuro Rehab team covering the Worthing, Shoreham, Lancing, Littlehampton and Chanctonbury areas.
The role is based either in Worthing. Sessions can be delivered through a combination of face-to-face, telephone and video consultations, as clinically appropriate.
The patient caseload will consist primarily of patients with long term neurological conditions.
Main Duties
• To provide expert clinical psychology to patients with acquired and long term neurological conditions
• To support the psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions provided by other clinical members of the service who provide psychologically-based care and treatments.
• To offer specialist advice and consultation on patients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to non-professional carer
• To provide consultation, training, and support to the team and to other professionals working with people with neurological conditions, and to mainstream mental health teams.

1. Assesses and treats own specialist caseload of patients and maintains associated records.
2. Provides, develops, and manages highly specialist interventions.
3. Clinically supervises assistant practitioners, graduate psychologists and doctoral trainees
4. Works in the community with individuals with acquired or long term neurological condition, their families, and other teams and services involved.
5. Co-ordinates provision of a specialist service and provides specialist advice and consultation to other professions and carers.
6. Contributes to service development as a clinical lead role.
