Summary

Support Worker

Industry: Housing

Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight

Hours: 37 hours per week, shifts worked on a rota basis: 8am - 4pm and 2pm - 10pm

Days: Monday to Sunday on a rota basis

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Work in partnership with young people within a supported housing scheme,

Provide regular face to face support, carrying out needs assessments and creating and reviewing person centred support plans,

Develop and maintain effective relationship with residents, colleagues, partnership agencies and external providers,

Motivate residents to engage in programmes, assist in navigation and independence, empowering them to make choices and decision around housing, education and employment

Ensure a safe, well mannered and compliant environment.

Experience:

Must have previous experience of supporting young people including awareness of psychological informed environments and trauma informed practice.

Must have the ability to develop and maintain working relationships within a face paced environment.

Must have a good level of communication, organisation and administrative skills plus the willingness to develop.

A DBS clearance will be required to be undertaken for the successful candidate.

Salary: starting salary £23,000 - 27,000 per annum, pro rata
