About the role:
Activate Learning are now looking for enthusiastic and inspiring Maths teacher to work across our Surrey Colleges, helping our students to achieve success in GCSE and functional skills qualifications.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive, who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers, or from graduates who are looking to get into teaching.
This is a permanent, full-time position, based across our Guildford and Merrist Wood College campuses.
As a Maths Teacher, if you are in your first 5 years of teaching in Further Education, you may be eligible to apply for an additional payment of up to £6000 from the levelling up premium payment scheme. What do you need to be successful as a Maths Teacher at Activate Learning?
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
For this role you will need the following:
A level 3 qualification in maths or a related subject
A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
