An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Head Teacher to join our team at Lunnasting Primary School, Shetland.

As well as the relevant qualifications and experience, the successful candidate will require excellent leadership and communication skills, vision, initiative and self-discipline.

Lunnasting Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Vidlin. It provides nursery to P7 education for children from Vidlin and surrounding areas. The structure of the school is 1 nursery class and 2 composite primary classes. There are currently 33 pupils in the school and 12 pupils in the nursery.   • Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,742 per annum
  • Permanent Full Time post for 35.0 Hours per Week
  • Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
  • You must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post
