Summary


An exciting secondment/fixed term opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic medical photography and ophthalmic imaging team at York Hospital. This post would be suitable for an experienced medical / ophthalmic photographer or imager wishing to gain insight and further experience in medical and ophthalmic photography along with some team management.

This vacancy will be considered for a secondment opportunity. Please note - if you would like your application to be considered for secondment, you must secure agreement from your line manager beforehand that you can be released to undertake the role.
• To provide a comprehensive Medical Photography and Ophthalmic Imaging service to the Trust.
• To demonstrate expert skill in taking clinical photographs, video recording and editing for patient records (inpatients and outpatients), clinical trials, legal work, teaching and publication. Photographs are required during potentially distressing situations such as non-accidental injuries, trauma and surgical procedures.
• To provide a quality non-clinical corporate and commercial photographic service for the Trust when required.
• To be responsible for the safe digital storage of clinical photographs. To understand and advise colleagues on photography regulations regarding consent, data protection, confidentiality and governance and put measures in place to ensure these are being adhered to.
• To oversee the management of the East Coast ophthalmic imaging team and be a point of contact and support for the East Coast imaging lead.
