The School of Health Professions is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated dietetics Academic Lead to join the Dietetics team as an Associate Professor or Lecturer in Dietetics.

You will:

• Support teaching and learning in the programmes BSc (Hons) Dietetics, MDiet (Hons) Dietetics and MSc Human Nutrition at the University of Plymouth.
• Promote academic quality and high standards of learning and teaching to support evidence-based dietetic practice.
• Also have a role in building and sustaining successful partnerships with colleagues across the South West to develop and support practice placement education and future developments.

Depending on the grade appointed you will:

• Have leadership responsibility including line management. Be a graduate Dietitian with considerable post-qualifying experience.

This job offers a 0.8fte (29.6 hours per week) on a permanent basis. For the candidate with the right management and leadership experience but part-time job-share opportunities might also be considered for those with different skills sets and experience.

Candidates invited for interview will be asked to deliver a 10 minute presentation entitled 'Discuss the main threats and opportunities to the dietetic profession and what would be your vision to manage these'. Interviews are expected to take place 17th July on our Drakes Campus. You will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.
