The Corner House provides supported accommodation for those who are rough sleeping or vulnerably housed in the city of Lincoln. We support those who have multiple and complex needs.
We are looking for a creative, flexible, resilient and solution focused person and who leads a team with integrity and empathy.
The aim of the service is to:
• reduce the level of rough sleeping by providing suitable supported accommodation
• improve the physical and mental health of rough sleepers by enabling them to access health services including mental health and drug and alcohol treatment
• reduce the cost to health services by supporting the appropriate use of health pathways and preventing the need for high-cost crisis interventions
• reduce the level of crime and anti-social behaviour including begging and street drinking by supporting rough sleepers to access benefits and positive alternatives to negative street-based lifestyles
Duties & Responsibilities
• Including Service development and delivery; Staff management; other resource management Financial and Physical) as appropriate
• To assist the Service Manager in managing the service so it achieves and maintains satisfactory performance and meets contractual requirements.
• To induct, supervise, develop, motivate, lead and appraise staff within the service
• Manage the performance of delegated workers in their service including conduct, capability and absence
• To ensure the service is managed safely and all policies and procedures are followed
• To attend and chair and meeting both internal and external when requested by service manager
• To complete monitoring for the service when requested by service manager
• To be involved in promoting of the service
• Contribute to organisational learning and development when required
• To support the Service Manager to respond to complaints in an appropriate timeframe and follow relevant
• To assist the Service Manager and Human Resources with the recruitment of staff for the service
