The Role:
As Risk and Compliance Partner you will report into the Risk & Compliance Director and ensure that Prezzo conducts its operations in a safe and legal way within a framework of company operating procedures, legal requirements and industry best practice.
You will work in a collaborative way with operational teams, whilst remaining independent and objective in supporting operational success by promoting a positive Food, Health & Safety culture and driving brand standards. You will be working with external organisations, enforcement authorities, and other Support Centre teams building positive relationships and ensuring legal compliance.

- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, able to work on multiple assignments, across multiple geographic locations, and the ability to deal with ad hoc requests.
- Excellent problem-solving skills – be solution driven.
- Minimum Level 3 accredited Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent)
- Technical Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), working towards Graduate Membership is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in a Food Safety and Health & Safety background preferably in hospitality or comparable sector.
A little bit more about what you’ll Do:
- Promote a positive Food Safety and Health & Safety culture across the business whilst embedding processes and procedures to ensure that a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 (or Pass in Scotland) is achieved at all restaurants.
- Manage the risk across the restaurants for which you are responsible through effective planning and completion of visits to address key risk areas, give coaching and provide reports with detailed findings and action plans.
- Monitor outstanding report actions, based on agreed timescales for completion, ensuring escalation for non-completion where required.
- Identify trends of poor performing restaurants or individuals and feedback to the appropriate management.
- Ensure immediate escalation of any business risk identified as part of restaurant visit to relevant stakeholders which may have an impact on team members or customers.
- As the expert in your area, you will provide advice and support on all areas of risk and compliance to restaurant teams and Regional Operational Management. You will also provide coaching and training to restaurant management on compliance processes and procedures
- Completion of announced and unannounced scored Assessment visits to the required frequency. Ensuring that the requirements of the Consequence Framework are consistently met, completing investigations as required.
- Undertake accident and incident investigations, working to identify root causes and share best practice to prevent reoccurrence.
- Liaising with our insurers on issues relating to current and future Public and Employee Liability claims providing relevant information where required.
- Responding to guest complaints relating to food, health and safety matters and ensuring all serious accidents are reported to the enforcing authority.
Location
This role is field based covering several regionally aligned operational areas across the south of England.Travel will be required for this position as will some overnight stays.
