Our client is one of the leading providers of complex care; they support people with complex conditions, including acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions and learning disabilities.
Our client is currently looking for a Clinical Skills Trainer (RGN,RSCN,RNLD) to deliver in-house clinical and mandatory training to non-registered staff (support workers, HCA, RA) and other relevant staff requiring support. This role would also sign off non-registered staff as competent in extended roles/clinical based skills, whilst supporting to ensure continued clinical competency.

Requirements for the Clinical Skills Trainer role:
- You must have a Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN/RMN /RNLD/RNC)
- Active NMC Pin
- Clear DBS
- Training qualification
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with Learning Disabilities, Brain Injuries and Neurological conditions
- Knowledge of extended clinical skills (e.g. Tracheostomy, Peg Feeds, Catheterisation)

The role of a Clinical Skills Trainer within the Company involves:
- Training and assessing non-registered staff, in mandatory skills
- Woking with the training and wider nursing team to support the training and development of staff
- Delivering additional group or one to one session as required
- Preparing and managing the learning environment and resources to maximize learner experience
- Updating specialist knowledge and skills in line with current practice guidelines
- Reviewing the training programme and resources
- Attending and contributing to team meetings and other meetings as required
- Informing the Training Manager/Care Manager of any issues that are likely to impact quality of client care
- Liaising with various departments as needed
