Summary

The Deputy Director of Content is a newly created role to develop and implement a digital-first content strategy to meet our University 2030 Strategy, across all audiences and to achieve our growth and reputation objectives. The post leads a large team and is responsible for our brand and will develop and execute a brand strategy which positions Aston effectively both internally and externally across a wide range of audiences.
You will form part of the leadership team of the Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment department, an exciting and fast-paced team with responsibility for admissions, student recruitment, UK and international marketing, marketing for our colleges and school, access and outreach, internal and external communications, events and digital.
We are looking for a an experienced and effective leader, able to develop a clear vision for our brand and reputation, with experience of successfully managing multi-disciplinary teams. Ideally you will have experience of working in HE at a senior level and you will have significant experience in communications, marketing and/or digital. You will be highly creative, embrace technology and have a track record of developing communications and content strategies. Juggling competing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment will be reflected in your experience.
