Summary


An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Band 8A Clinical Scientist to join our Clinical Physics team. The postholder will take a leading role in directing Quality Management across the whole of the team and in supporting the safe and effective use of optical non ionising radiation across the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to develop clinical and management skills in a challenging but rewarding job.

The Clinical Physics directorate provide a wide range of physics services across all the hospitals in Barts Health Trust. You will work alongside many of these teams to support their Quality Management objectives and collaborate with clinicians providing a clinical optical non-ionising service.


You would actively contribute to the work of the team providingexpertise and support to staff utilizing non ionizing optical radiation in clinical practice. This will include a lead role in undertaking the training of junior staff and trainee Healthcare Scientists.

The role will also undertake the development and assessment of medical devices for the purposes of clinical research and in conjunction with fellow Health Care Scientists, clinical consultants and academics.

You will act as the Quality Manager of the Clinical Physics quality management system service (QMS) and to further develop where necessary the established QMS.
