Summary
Working hours: 15 hours per week – 3 hours x 5 days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (am) plus Wednesday evening or Saturday morning

Manchester Central Church are looking to recruit a Caretaker who will be responsible for care, maintenance and cleaning at our busy church building.
Key Responsibilities
Care and maintenance of the inside and outside of the building.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, lighting, heating and ventilation to the required standard.
To unlock and lock the building when required.
Move chairs/tables/equipment as required to fulfil cleaning requirements.
Maintain records to ensure health and safety compliance.
Small maintenance and admin jobs, liaising with contractors as necessary.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Awareness of health and Safety regulations.
Experience of cleaning in a professional environment with knowledge of the proper use of cleaning equipment.
Basic standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills (e.g. email and online ordering).
Practical skills for operating a building, including ability to meet the physical demands of the role and basic maintenance skills.
Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, including lone working as necessary.
Good communication skills with an ability to engage with different groups of people.
Ability to be flexible with working hours.
