Summary
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are working in partnership with a local manufacturing company in their search for a Water Jet Cutting Production Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Our client manufacture parts and components used in the aerospace industry and have a temporary to permanent vacancy within their CAD design and water jet cutting facility.
**It is essential for this job that you have waterjet, laser or plasma cutting experience**
Job details:
• Uploading files to the water jet control system
• Additional set up - loading the cutting materials - this is heavy work!
• Digging out beds, clearing drainage systems - this isn't a clean job!
Ideal candidate:
• You are a physically fit and energetic person
• Experience in plasma cutting and / or laser cutting
• Basic CAD experience / ability to learn basic CAD design
• You are looking for a long term, permanent position as a result of this placement
Working Hours:
• Bi-weekly rotating shift pattern, week 1 and week 2
• Week 1: 6am-3pm Monday – Thursday, 6am-10am Friday
• Week 2: 1:30pm-10pm Monday – Thursday, 10am-2pm Friday
The Pay:
• £13.00 - £13.70 per hour dependant on experience
• Overtime available, Monday-Saturday is paid at Time x1.5, Sunday’s and Bank Holidays are paid at x2
