Summary
Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a Physics Technician to join our Science Department from September 2024. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week over 35 weeks of the year.
A dedicated Physics technician is responsible for technical support and for the general provision of equipment. There is a well-stocked central store and preparation room; with each laboratory well equipped with general apparatus. Other roles and responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance and information in the preparation of resources for practical lessons.
- Prepare practical’s as requested and appropriate.
- Assemble and calibrate apparatus.
- Repair and maintain apparatus where appropriate.
- Purchase materials.
- Maintain Physics stores in accordance with relevant H&S guidelines.
- Ensure a safe and productive environment.
