Quick, a Kuehne+Nagel company are hiring a Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist at their Croydon branch.
YOUR ROLE
Hours are: 8am to 4.30pm &/or 12noon to 9pm - alternate Saturdays with a week day in lieu for the Saturday - The role of the Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist is to support the company in achieving the highest performance possible within its operational functions on client sites, they are responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for client, helping to improve processes and performance whilst also championing safety and demonstrating good general practices.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive shipments of equipment
- Add shipment / deliveries into Quick inventory system and other agreed upon client
systems - Pack equipment onsite and prepare outbound shipments for transport
- Maintain all asset inventory records for the site and conduct regular reporting
- Maintain chain of custody of assets and diligently manage inventory of Quick's
exclusively controlled assets and storage spaces - Prepare assets for installation into production including but not limited to the following activities: unboxing, asset tagging, waste packaging removal, and aggregating required install components
- Receive assets removed from production spaces and process for storage, disposal,
shipment or redeployment, whilst maintaining inventory records and chain of custody - Follow all company SOP's which will include the above information and specific
operating details - Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all the equipment and will be expected to
perform duties as directed by management.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Customer Service experience required
- Ability to use a computer and various software packages (ideally Inventory Systems)
- Experience in the Warehousing or Logistics industries essential
- Demonstrate ability to identify and solve problems
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Ability to follow instructions and direction from Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
- Promotes a safe working environment
- Time Management: ability to organize and complete multiple priorities
- Ability to get along with co-workers and management, in order to maintain a professional work environment
- Team player, with strong work ethic
- The employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move packages up to 70 LBS
