Summary

Children’s Manager
Permanent
Full-time or Part-time hours (negotiable)
Salary between £25,350 - £29,250 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience)
Based in Brighton
Tarner is a charity dedicated to running children and young people’s services in the Tarner area of Brighton in partnership with the local community. Tarner has established an excellent reputation for delivering exciting projects with children and young people who are currently marginalised for whatever reason. We are based in a community building in Tarner Park where we currently run our children’s activities and several youth projects.
We are looking for someone with experience of team management in a childcare setting to manage all day-to-day team management aspects for the Children’s Project.
Your focus will be ensuring that a high quality and professional service is delivered by the Children’s’ Project Team. You will need experience of OSFTED requirements ensuring all staff understand and comply with these. You will also act as a Senior Safeguarding Officer and have SEN and EYFS experience. Reporting to our Head of Operations, you will identify areas of improvement and work with the management team to implement good practice models.
You will ideally be qualified to Level 3 and should also possess excellent knowledge of safeguarding, have good written and verbal communication skills and excellent planning and organisational skills.
