We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Administrator to support our dental oral health team. You will provide administrative support including connecting with and arranging visits to schools and children's centres to support oral health initiatives within areas of deprivation. Your support will make a valuable difference for some very vulnerable children who have special needs and/or who live in areas of socioeconomic deprivation.

You will be required to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a willingness to help others and will be a key member of the team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential combined with an ability to deal with sensitive and potential challenging situations.

You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and with a flexible approach to work.



The candidate will be expected to be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Duties will include: -
• Undertaking a range of administration tasks, including processing referrals, letters and emails
• Answer incoming calls, dealing with inquiries and speaking directly to schools, children's centres and residential settings.
• Liaising with dentists and dental nurses within the Special Care Dental Team.
• Ensure accurate and relevant information is recorded on our system database.

You will receive full support and training to undertake all aspects of the role, you need to bring enthusiasm, energy and a flexible approach to work.

The post holder will be working as part of a supportive team of dental administrators and the role requires a high level of computer and telephone work, with access to a wide range of different systems and information.
• Taking and making telephone calls to schools, children's centres and residential settings.
• Dealing with enquiries in a helpful and efficient manner
• Offering a high level of service.
• Working with oral health Dental team to complete required tasks and activities
• Working well as a team under pressure in a busy environment
• Sharing information and escalating issues as appropriate
• identifying innovative ways of working
