Summary

Animal Assisted Intervention allows Greatwood to change lives and create fulfilling futures for children, young people, adults and former racehorses in need. It challenges perceptions of success and failure, in a secure and nurturing environment: caring, rehabilitating and rehoming vulnerable former racehorses on a farm in Wiltshire.

Education programmes are run on the farm for children, young people and adults who may experience mental, emotional or social challenges, learning or educational difficulties, or physical disabilities.

All about the role:

The post holder will facilitate the delivery of the Greatwood alternative education provision, working with a wide range of learners presenting various additional needs. The former racehorses and other animals here at Greatwood form an integral part of the education programmes and therefore some animal handling and husbandry is expected. Please see the full job description for further details.
