Description
General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Health, Safety and Environmental Officer to join our team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £40,000 to £50,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders, responsible for the maintenance and management of health and safety and environment for the Land Systems business unit. This role requires the holder to maintain legal compliance of the business and site to health and safety environment legislation.
If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:
- Day-to day management of Health and safety for LS Business unit
- Health & Safety Lead within operations
- Verifying compliance to the GDUK ISO 14001 and ISO45001 management system
- Generation and management of site and trials Risk Assessments
- Carry out workplace inspections
- Carry out accident and near miss investigations
- Compiling SHE KPI’s and communicating at local levels within operations
To apply for this role, you will require the following:
- NEBOSH (or equivalent) qualification
- Process & Equipment Risk Assessment
- Audit & Inspection
- DSE Assessments
- Fire Risk Assessments
- Work at Height
- COSHH Assessment
- First Aid at Work
- Computer literate.
