Your new roleTo administer, maintain and manage accurate records with regard to all aspects of the finances of the group and related companies.
Principal Responsibilities

  • Maintain and input all financial information into ledgers, including the raising of sales invoices and the processing of purchase ledger items, ensuring all invoices are input promptly and accurately.
    Administer payments to suppliers.
  • Process Bacs transactions on both the purchase & sales cycles.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly duties including bank reconciliation, general financial accounting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date member subscription and contributions records and the organisation of the collection of monies from members and contributors.
  • To keep an up-to-date credit control system and chase payments
  • Maintain & input financial information into the company database.
  • Office administration including answering the phone and email and dealing with post when necessary.

General RequirementsPost holders are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues within the group, partner agencies and other organisations for the delivery of excellent integrated services for our customers.
What you'll need to succeed

  • Understanding of financial management processes and procedures
  • Awareness of generally accepted accounting principles and legislation affecting charities and commercial operations
  • Appreciation of the objectives of the Solace group and the environment in which it operates.
  • Use of accounts packages Sage 50 and/or Sage 200
  • Delivery and support of day-to-day financial processes
  • General administration support


Skills & Abilities

  • Organised with the ability to establish, monitor and maintain office systems and processes.
  • 'Can do' attitude, willing to contribute to activity outside of core job role.
  • Excellent IT skills & good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Professional manner and attitude, able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to change.
