Summary
Dermatology outpatient service General Dermatology including 2WW clinics across all 3 sites Minor operation lists (24/week across all 3 sites) Phototherapy service (narrow band UVB and hand and foot PUVA all 3 sites, systemic PUVA HHH/SACH) Photodynamic therapy across all 3 sites Iontophoresis therapy across all 3 sites Nurse led day care and education across all 3 sites Patch testing based at HHH Specialist out-patient clinics Joint male genital dermatoses clinic held monthly at WGH with Department of Urology Joint vulval clinic held monthly with Department of Genito-urinary medicine at WGH Joint complex case clinic virtual involving all consultants Joint Leg ulcer clinic two monthly with vascular surgery. This is a one stop clinic in which patients are seen by a dermatologist, vascular surgeon, wound care specialist nurse and duplex scanning are performed Paediatric dermatology clinics at WGH/HHH (2.5 weekly) Vulval clinic two monthlies at HHH Patch test clinic weekly at HHH Hair clinic monthly at WGH Nurse led paediatric dermatology clinics (across all 3 sites) Nurse led systemic therapy clinic (across all 3 sites) Links with other Departments There are close links to Plastic Surgery (based at Mount Vernon Hospital and Royal Free Hospital). Radiotherapy and oncology support is provided by the Cancer Unit at Mount Vernon (Dr Paul Nathan and Heather Shaw, Oncology and Dr Romana Mir, Radiotherapy). There is a local skin cancer MDT held fortnightly with Royal Free Hospital Plastic Surgery and a weekly specialist skin cancer MDT. There are weekly Specialist Skin cancer MDT meetings which video conferences with Lister Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital. There are additional monthly meetings with the Histopathology Department for discussion of complex cases.
