Summary


Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Network Technician specializing in Data & Voice to join our Group Digital team. In this role, you will support the development, maintenance, and administration of our data and voice infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance in support of clinical and business operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of Trust-wide data and voice networks.
• Provide expert technical support for incident resolution and service requests.
• Identify critical gaps/issues and make recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to the installation and enhancement of data communication network equipment.
• Supervise junior network team and manage own workload efficiently.
• Monitor network stability, availability, capacity, integrity, resilience, and security.
• Ensure compliance with NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) requirements.
• Provide technical support for complex software and hardware communication problems.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation and inventory.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Trust’s data and voice infrastructure.
• Support service continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Serve as a technical liaison between the Network team and other technical teams.
• Provide support for Windows server operating systems and associated hardware.
• Stay updated on IT technical issues relevant to healthcare environments.
• Act as a point of contact for network-related advice and expertise.
• Monitor key performance indicators and service delivery metrics.
