Summary
PERMANENT ROLE – 5 ON 3 OFF – £40,035.84 PER ANNUM
Wincanton is offering the opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our delivery team out of our Shared User site at Greenford.
- £16.04 per hour
- £40,035.84 per annum
- Shift Pattern - 5 on 3 off rotationally
- PM & Nights
- Start time - varies between midday & midnight
- 48 hours per week
- Average 10 hours per day
- Average 2 delivery drops per day
- £16.04 per hour - Overtime paid after 48 hours worked

How will you contribute
- You will be delivering locally up to 6 or 7 delivery locations to different distribution centres - Aylesford, Bracknell, Milton Keynes, Portsmouth, Corby & Wellingborough.
- You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
- Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
- Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available).
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting.
- To ensure contractual KPI’s over delivery of product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner
- Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
- Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy, and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day
What will you bring?
- Must have valid Class 1 licence
- Must have valid CPC
- Must hold Digital Tachograph card
- Must not have more than 6 points on licence
- Must have a minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
- Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
- Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
- Must be fully flexible on working hours
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
- Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
- Must have a good geographical knowledge
