Who we are?

We are a group of colleges in the Tees Valley; Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training and The Skills Academy. Education Training Collective (Etc.) delivers a full range of courses, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as professional and commercial courses.

Our aim is to create greater opportunities for all of our students and communities by equipping people with the skills to help them into employment, raise aspirations and meet the economic demands of the region. ‘ONE Etc. – Fuelling ambition and driving success in a resurgent Teesside and beyond. With a backdrop of high achievement rates, and a financially robust strategic position, the Education Training Collective (Etc.) has exiting plans to further develop our services for learners and the residents of the Tees Valley. The experience of our learners and their wellbeing whilst studying with the Group is central to these plans.

We are looking for an experienced person with the drive and motivation to make a difference, help us deliver an outstanding experience for learners, ensure they are safe and best positioned to progress to their future lives.

The post is a key group senior management post, providing leadership to enable high quality services across the whole group.

As Director of Student Experience and Wellbeing you will:
• Provide leadership and direct the management and operation of college student services and wellbeing resources to provide a safe, secure and stimulating learning and working environment for students, staff and visitors
• Provide leadership in terms of the student experience, tutorial, enrichment and the provision of financial and other support for learners.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior leader within Further Education sector, trained and experienced as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and with a track record of delivering excellent student experience.

This is a role for someone who can get the operational basics right in a systemic manner and has the strategic business awareness to take us to the next level. Does this sound like you?

Schedule
This post will be expected to work during normal operational college hours (Monday to Friday).
