An exciting job opportunity has arisen at Leeds United FC for a matchday First Aid Responder, based at our stunning Elland Road Stadium.

Contract Type: Casual Contract
Hours of Work: Approx. 5/6 hours at Home Games
Salary: £11.44 per hour
Responsible to: First Aid supervisor and First Aid Manager/Match Day Safety Officer
Location: Elland Road Stadium, Elland Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS11 0ES
Aim of Role: To respond immediately to any medical emergencies that present on a matchday in a professional manner.
Duties and responsibilities:
• To remain in the location allocated unless directed otherwise
• To attend briefings on each matchday and any training sessions as required by the club
• Ability to recognise and manage common first aid conditions
• Competency in basic life support as set out in the Resuscitation Council Guidelines including the use of AEDs
• Competency in the manual handling or extrication of patients in a sports ground environment
• Informing your supervisor of further assistance if needed
• To maintain accurate records of medical notes
• Have an understanding of safeguarding of children and adults at risk
• Ability to understand and communicate in verbal and written instructions in English

Qualifications: You must hold a current certificate in first aid competency issued by an organisation that meets the HSE Guidelines on first aid training.
Experience: Ideally experience working as a first aider in a sports ground or event environment.
Skills & Knowledge: Good communicator, calm and friendly approach, can work as part of a team, or under own initiative, strong decision making skills
